Breidenbach Associates Law Offices, LLC acts as Trustee for two organizations that give scholarships to Pottstown High School graduating seniors: the Arthur J. Pyron Science Scholarship and the Pottstown Alumni Wrestlers’ Scholarship.
The Arthur J. Pyron PHS Science Scholarship was established by lifelong Pottstown resident, and accomplished geologist, Arthur J. Pyron who passed away in 2014. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who has excelled academically in the science curriculum while at Pottstown High School and is pursuing a secondary education in a science-related field. This year’s recipient of the $10,000 (4-year, $2500 per year) scholarship is Jorge Mundo. Good luck, Jorge, and continued success in your future endeavors.
The Pottstown Alumni Wrestlers’ Scholarship was established in the late 1980’s through funding by former PHS wrestlers to be awarded to a graduating senior member of the wrestling team who displays the attributes of leadership, honor, scholarship, citizenship, and sportsmanship, which embody the philosophy and characteristics of the Trojan wrestling tradition. The 2020 recipient of this scholarship is Demond Thompson. Good luck, Demond, in all of your future endeavors.
